Here are a few suggestions. Some plants like it wetter than others. For example, some will grow with their roots completely underwater for months at a time. Wwinterberry, cardinal flower, yellow flag iris, royal fern, and canna are good examples. Other plants prefer soil that's constantly moist, but not flooded for long stretches. These include sweet bay, Texas star, Virginia sweetspire, Japanese primrose, and cinnamon fern. As a final suggestion, you might consider Rio Red Ragin Cajin Ruellia (Ruellia elegans ) which sports bright tomato red flowers late spring till fall. Rio Red Ruellia is attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds. It is a food plant for the Texan Crescent Butterfly (Phyciodes texana). This plant prefers moist soil partial shade. Hope these suggestions are helpful.
