The Q&A Archives: Name of plant

Question: I have a plant that has leaves like the amarillis, but has a white spider looking flower. Can you please tell me what this is? Also, I have a plant that has leaves like a lily, but has numerous little orange flowers in a row on a single stem. I would like to know what this is also. Thank you.

Answer: Linda,

The white blooming plant is probably a spider lily. The following web sites have photos:

The plant with orange flowers may be a crocosmia, but with your description lacking detail this may not be correct. If so please submit another question with more detail (especially bloom size and plant size) and we will be glad to try again. The is next websites have crocosmia photos:

Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
