I am interested in the Weeping Nootka False Cypress. While the tag says it grows 30-45' the guy at the nursery said it wouldnt get that big here because we have a shorter growing season. He said 20'x8'here.

Is this correct because 20x8'is the absolute biggest I would want it to get. I have a small house & yard. Even though it is slow growing I dont want to have major problems in 30 or 40 years.

The Monrovia on line plant listing indicates the size as "Slow-growing to 30 to 45 feet high, 10 to 15 feet wide. Larger with age. Cutting grown." Unfortunately I think this is way too big for a small yard, so I am glad you asked.
