| Yellowing leaves this early in the season indicates some kind of stress with your Burning Bush. Too much water, or poorly draining soils can suffocate the roots, resulting in yellowing foliage. Burning Bush grows best in full sunshine in average, well-draining soils. Build a water basin or watering well beneath your plant and once a week flood the basin; allow to drain, then flood a second time. Watering in this way will concentrate the moisture over the root mass and allow it to trickle down and wet the entire root mass. Most landscape trees and shrubs require only weekly soaking but if the temperatures are really hot, you may want to water every 4-5 days. Best wishes with your Burning Bush! |
