| I am a novice at growing roses but very anxious to learn. My first rose is a Blushing Knock Out rose. I followed planting directions suggested by Greenworks Nursery and have much new growth, but no blooms. I thought it would bloom all summer. What could be the problem? |
| Your Blushing Knockout rose will bloom continuously from May through early fall. It sometimes takes new roses a while to begin flowering, but once they do, they won't stop! The only thing that might curtail flowering is if the shrub is not getting at least 8 hours of direct sunlight a day. So, if your rose is getting full sunshine, you are watering and feeding according to schedule, and it is producing new growth, I'd say the only other thing you need to do is be patient. As soon as the roots are well established in your garden it should bloom its little head off. Enjoy! |
