I have my eye on one of your Japanese maples variety 'Seiryu' at Portland Nursery. Your website says it grows to 12-15 feet.
The one at Portland Nursery (in its 5 gallon pot) is already 9 1/2 feet. I am wanting something that is 16 -17 feet. The guy at Portland Nursery says you can always add 5 feet to the given height. What do you think?

PS You do have a GREAT website

In your neck of the woods you can expect 'Seiryu' to reach about 20' in height with a 12' wide canopy. Japanese maples love growing in the Pacific Northwest almost as much as they love growing in Japan.
