I need some ideas on what kinds of plants are best for privacy plants. I live here in Idaho and want something that will come back every year.

Keeping in mind that deciduous plants lose their leaves in the winter, you may want an evergreen plant for your privacy screen. Several are suitable, both broadleaf evergreen such as laurel, and needled evergreen such as arborvitae. Photinia is always a good choice. It's fast growing and the new leaves are red in spring, changing to green when mature. Other suggestions include Abelia, Leyland cypress, Holly, and Viburnum.
