I HAVE ANGELS TRUMPETS WHICH I HAVE NUTURED FROM SMALL PLANTS IN POTS WHICH I HAVE KEPT IN MY POOL ENCLOSURE. I HAVE MOVED THEM OUTSIDE AS THEY ARE NOW 10'HIGH AND 6' WIDE. HOW DO I TRIM THE ROOTS IN THE POTS. I AM REQUIRED TO WATER THEN NUMEROUS TIMES IN THE DAY TO PREVENT WILT ALSO HOW DO I PROTECT THEM IN POTS OUTSIDE IN WINTER.
WHERE CAN I FIND THE BLUE FAN FLOWER PLANT. THANK YOU MARY
I BUY MONROVIA PLANTS FROM A NURSERY IN FERNANDINA AND HAVE FOUND THAT ALTHOUGH YOUR PLANT ARE MORE EXPENSIVE THE QUALITY IS TERRIFIC.

Mary,

There is not need to trim the roots of your angel's trumpets. They need morning sun and afternoon shade and require frequent watering as they'll wilt anytime they are subjected to the sun for a period of time on a hot day. They will probably not be perennial in your climate as the winter cold is too intense. You'll want to bring them in for the winter season.

I am not aware of local sources for the blue fanflower. Check with a local garden center and see if they can direct you to a local source.
