The Q&A Archives: English Ivy

Question: What kind of animal is enjoying my Ivy? I have woods behind my house. Is that one kind of ground cover deers don't like? Or the only one they do? Thanks for your response.

Answer: Deer generally don't bother ivy. About the only thing that might hide in and consume your ivy would be slugs and snails. If you're concerned about deer munching your groundcover, ivy would be a safe choice.

Best wishes with your landscape!
