| I have a Mimosa tree which is about 10 years old and up until 5 days ago was thriving and blooming. We went out of town and came home to find multiple branches had turned yellow and brown and many leaves had fallen to the ground. It has been unusually hot here while we were gone but it received water and all the plants around it are thriving. What could be wrong? It looks very bad like it could be dying. |
| Early yellowing of mimosa leaves is usually a sign of stress. In this case, it is probably weather related and the yellowing should stop soon. If it continues, then I'd suspect a root stress. It may be that the roots were exposed to lawn chemicals (if you have lawn in the area), or the soil isn't draining as well as it used to. Best wishes with your mimosa! |
