| If the leaf margins are brown, it indicates your banana plant is under stress. Browning can be caused by dry air, over- or under-watering, or fertilizer burn. If you cut off the brown margins, new brown areas will appear where you've cut the leaf. I'd allow the damaged leaves to remain on the plant and cut them off only after they turn completely brown. In the meantime, make sure your plant is getting enough water to keep the soil moist but not soggy wet and mist your plant when the weather is hot and dry. Best wishes with your banana tree! |
