Everytime it rains, worms (lots of them) crawl onto our patio, porch and walkways. Is there something that will prevent them from doing this? Not only is it ulgy, but it makes a big mess and a big job to clean them off. |
The worms are traveling on a film of moisture that has rapidly dried up and stranded them on your sidewalk. You can hose them back into the flower beds or lawn right after a rain and they'll bury themselves back in the soil. Worms are beneficial, andindicate your soil is alive and healthy. This is usually only a problem when the weather is cool in the winter and spring. By summer they'll retreat deeper into the soil and not be such problems for you. |
