At a recent visit to Santa Fe Greenhouses, Santa Fe, NM, I saw some extraordinary potted agapanthus. They said they had come from Monrovia, but had been repotted, so the variety was not available. The blooms were a beautiful deep blue- about 6 |
I think the plant is MIDKNIGHT BLUE? AGAPANTHUS (Agapanthus x `Monmid`). It's a relatively new introduction with huge deep blue flowers and long, thick leaves. You should be able to find Midknight Blue at one of the following local nurseries: PAYNE'S NORTH-NURSERIES 304 CAMINO ALIRE SANTA FE, NM 87501 (505) 988-9626 PAYNE'S GREENHOUSES 715 ST.
