| You are correct. The Atlanta climate is too warm for this particular tree so that is probably why he can't find it locally. The "October Glory" maple would be a much better choice and has terrific fall color. His local professional nurseryman should be able to recommend a tree(s) for him to plant based on knowing the growing conditions in the spot where he wants to plant and also his overall design goals. |
