Plumbago is a sub-tropical plant, hardy only in zones 9-11. In your zone 5 gardening region, you'll want to pot your plant up and take it indoors for the winter months. Wait until this fall, then dig your plant up and place it in a container in fresh potting soil. Provide bright light, average household temperatures and moist soil. It may even bloom for you indoors this winter. I hope so!
