Answer: Your plant list sounds do-able. The beauty of a tropical rainforest is that there are many layers of plants and the plants grow together into a beautiful mass. I don't think you'll over-do. If, after a few years, things get overcrowded, you can always dig and transplant a few. Red banana trees grow well in containers, as long as you keep them well watered. Some good climbers include honeysuckle and star jasmine. Both will adapt to growing in containers.
Best wishes with your tropical paradise!
