The Q&A Archives: What plant is this?

Question: I have recently seen a plant in a local business' landscape. I contacted their landscaper and he has no idea what the name of the plant is. I took some digital pictures and showed it to 2 local very reputible nurseries and no one seems to be able to identify it. Can I send an attachment to you for identification?

Answer: I'm sorry but we are not able to accept attachments. Perhaps your local reference librarian would be able to help you locate it in a book with photographs. Or, a botanist or horticulturist at a local college or university. I'm sorry I can't be more specific for you.
