When planting balled and burlapped trees and shrubs, should the burlap, ropes and wire basket be removed? |
Removing the burlap, ropes, etc. will help your trees and shrubs develop a more extensive root system in a shorter amount of time. I'd recommend removing everything at planting time. If the rootmass is very large you can set the plant in the planting hole then remove the wires, twine, etc. and carefully pull the burlap out of the hole. Best wishes with your new trees and shrubs. |
