arbor vitae - Knowledgebase Question

Our rows of arbor vitae used to have lucious green foliage.Since the beginning of the year yellow green buds started growing and now number as much as the foliage.The branches are drooping because the weight of the buds. What can I do to bring back the health and beauty of these arbor vitae? Please HELP.Thank you.

It sounds as though your arborvitaes are putting most of their growing energy into making seed pods. I'd prune off a few inches of foliage to stop the formation and to encourage healthy new growth.
