What can be done to keep a vigorously growing shrub purcased and planted earlier this summer from leaning to oneside? I purchased the shrub because the description said the branches would

It is too late in the season to do any pruning as pruning would stimulate late season growth that would not harden before winter. It would also remove the fruiting wood. Next spring, trim the shrub back very hard. This should stimulate vigorous new growth (in all directions) from the base of the plant. Pruning in early spring will not interfere with flowering/fruiting. Enjoy your Callicarpa!
