The Q&A Archives: Sun or Shade?

Question: I have read in several places that the following plant will grow well in my zone and in full sun> Here at Monrovia it says partial shade. . MUSCARI --MAJESTIC . NOW I DON'T KNOW WHETHER TO PLANT IT OR NOT. IT IS TO BE IN FULL SUN. THANKS

Answer: In your hot summer climate, Majestic Muscari will perform best with afternoon shade. Every garden is different, though, so I'd suggest leaving it in the container and sinking the container into the ground in the site you'd like to grow this plant. If it doesn't perform well you can lift the pot and set it elsewhere in the garden.

Best wishes with your garden!
