I'm looking for a bamboo (clumping, not running) to plant as a screen along a fence line. It will be contained in a brick planter that is approx. 3 feet wide x 12 feet long. I would like a variety that gets 15-25 feet tall and grows fairly fast. Can you suggest something please? Thank you

Some of the most popular clumping bamboos include Bambusa multiplex 'Alphonse Karr', Chinese Goddess Bamboo (Bambusa multiplex 'Rivierorum'), and Buddha's Belly (Bambusa tuldoides 'Ventricosa'). All will reach 25' in height and all are fairly fast growers. Each has a slightly difference appearance, but all are clumping and non-invasive, making them perfect for the site you describe. Enjoy!
