I have azaleas that bloom three times a year. Last year they bloomed in April, July and October. This year they bloomed only in April. They are not bushy and look badly. Two plants have died. I fed them Miracle-Gro. What advise can you give me?

Your Encore Azalea will grow and perform best in full sunshine, in acidic soil with plenty of moisture. If the plants are struggling, they won't have the energy to bloom repeatedly. Make sure your plants are getting enough moisture (deeply soak the root systems once or twice a week (depending upon weather). I'd prune the plants back to encourage a dense, bushy growth habit. With proper care they should recover by next spring and be ready to bloom for you.

Best wishes with your landscape!
