The Q&A Archives: What's wrong with my lantana ?

Question: The leaves are parched-looking and I hardly have any blooms. I water deeply once a week now that they are established. I thought lantana was easy to care for.

Answer: Loretta,

If the problem is not a lack of water I would suspect some tiny insect that feed under the foliage sucking the juices out. Check at your local Home Depot for a general purpose insecticide to use on the plants. If you keep them well watered and fertilize them monthly during the growing season they will tend to outgrow such problems from these insects. When plenty of healthy foliage returns blooms will follow.
