Lilies Of the Nile - Knowledgebase Question

I have several Liliy of the Nile plants which were planted last year. The foliage is lush however they do not flower. I have seen other palnts in this area blooming. Could you tell me hwat the problem might be?

Elena,

If the foliage is healthy it is not clear why they are not blooming. In too much shade they may lack the carbohydrates to bloom well. I might suggest you try a fertilization with a product containing a high middle number (phosphorus). Take care however to not fertilize too much and stimulate excessive vigor as this may deter blooming. Perhaps also with a little time the plants will start blooming normally. Sometimes plants can be peculiar in that way.
