One of the 3 Blue Italian Cypress trees died half way up from the bottom. I have done all the appropriate measures to stop its deterioration which has been ( I believe ) successful. I trimmed the dead branches off the bottom half. The top half now looks fine.
The question. WILL THE BRANCHES GROW BACK ON THE BOTTOM HALF?

It really depends. Usually when you prune into old wood of an Italian cypress, there will be no regeneration of growth. When you prune new wood, new growth will appear behind the pruning cut. Wish I could say for sure whether or not your Italian cypress will develop new branches on the lower half, but only time will tell.

Best wishes with your landscape!
