Question: I've planted a long row of gardenia , I'm looking for a plant to grow in front of the gardenia. I live in a tropical enviroment.
Any ideas?

Answer: Some complimentary plants for beneath your gardenia include Wild Ginger (Asarum), Bergenia, Sweet Woodruff, or Oxalis (redwood sorrel) You might also consider daylilies or lily turf if the area gets a fair amount of sunshine.
