I received this for my mother's funeral from a friend who wants me to plant it outside. Is is going to survive winters in Michigan? Right now, it looks absolutely beautiful with new growth, etc. It was planted in the ground August 11.

Hibiscus rosa-sinensis 'Amour' is hardy only to about 40F so you'll need to take it indoors during the winter months. You might want to keep it in a container that you can take outdoors during the spring and summer months then take it back indoors during the fall and winter months. Enjoy your beautiful hibiscus!
