The Q&A Archives: mycorrhizae?

Question: Will the Hong kong Orchid Tree respond to endomycorrhizae or ectomycorrhizae?

Answer: Barbara,

I did find information that Bauhinias are known to have endomycorrhizae but was not able to confirm ectomycorrhizae. Mycorrhizae can be somewhat specific to soil types and plant species. It certainly is worth a try and won't harm anything, but I can't say for sure whether you would get a response or not.
