We live at the beach, on a 2 acre lakefront. Recently we had Lewis & Clark nursery plant several of your Endless Summer hydrangeas in our yard... despite the fact that none of us could find out if this hydrangea is one the deer like? Do you have any ideas and/or advice specific to our north coast area? In the meantime we've put blood meal plus bars of soap around the plants and will hope for the best...they are such a beautiful hydrangea that we hope will do well in our area if the deer don't feast on them first! We have many of your quality plants and always look for your distinctive pots/logo and then we know we'll be buying a good product. Thanks..Tess |
Glad you like Monrovia stock and we're glad you stopped by with your question. First, the good news. Hydrangeas are not a favorite food of deer. However, if the competition for food is high, your plants may be nibbled by deer. There are very few plants that a hungry deer won't try. So, let's hope for the best (blood meal and soap bars are good deterrents) so you can continue to enjoy your lovely Endless Summer hydrangeas. |
