I live in Salem Oregon 97304. If I move my Purple Fountain Grass in the Garage will it help to keep it alive over the winter? What can I do to warm the ground surrounding it? Thank you

Purple fountain grass is frost-tender and basically an annual in your gardening region. But you can winter it over by potting it up and placing it in a cool room (or in your garage) with fluorescent lights on 14-16 hours a day.
