The Q&A Archives: Low evergreen shrub

Question: I have a sloped yard where I just removed ~15 Otto Luken Laurels due to shot disease. I would like to replace them with something evergreen and smaller height - maybe 2-3'. The exposure is part sun. I really love the Davidii Viburnum, but am afraid they will get closer to 4'. Do you have any other suggestions for this area? Thanks!

Answer: Sarah,

DAVID VIBURNUM (Viburnum davidii) should be a great choice for those specifications. Some other possibilities include:

Pieris japonica 'Prelude'

Ilex glabra 'Compacta'

Skimmia reevesiana
