Root Ball - Knowledgebase Question

How do you destroy a really large root ball that is between 2 fences so access is limited. Can't reach it with an ax and can't use anything toxic to dogs. Thank you.

Chemical control would be the least expensive way to eliminate the stump, but it may not be pet friendly. You might want to hire someone to grind the stump down. They can get access without too much trouble (their grinding machines can fit into tight spaces). Check with your local nursery for a recommendation or find a few landscape contractors who service your neighborhood and ask them for an estimate.
