After a 2 wk absence, I returned to find my pony tail plant leaves all brown and dropping, sparse growth is coming from the top, but very little and its almost bare. the top 1/3 of the stalk is shrivelled, should I cut off the bad part and will new growth come??
Please help fast. Thank you

It sounds as though your ponytail plant suffered from lack of water. I'd cut away the dead parts of the plant. It should generate some healthy new growth later in the season.

Best wishes with your garden!
