i am growing a fig tree in a 18'' pot and i am finding that some of the leaves are what looks like burning on the tips and curling just like it was burnt by fire if I touch the leaf it goes to powder like ash from a fire it is only me that takes care of the plant . the plant is in an enclosed pool area the pool area is enclosed with screen to keep bugs out but not wind or rain the tree went all summer with 8 leaves on it now it is starting its fall growth but still the leaves are starting to burn last year I harvested 4 fig from this tree this year i have 2 figs only

Armando,

The tree is getting a little stressed most likely due to either too much fertilizer burning roots or temporary dry soil conditions. Those symptoms don't fit any disease or insect problem on figs.

Make sure you fig gets plenty of direct sunlight and move it to a larger pot in early spring. That should help it do better.
