Botanical: Euphorbia ingens
Common: African Candelabra Tree

A friend has given me a 6-foot piece of cutting from her candelabra tree and I want to plant it in a large container with the proper soil mix. What do you recommend?

Candelabra trees require fast draining soil. If you're going to pot it up in a container, use a commercially available cactus mix, or make your own by mixing one part potting mix, one part washed sand, and one part large gravel, pumas, broken clay pots, or most anything that will help keep the soil loose.

Best wishes with your new plant!
