I just bought a Bearss seedless lime tree and it doesn't say that it is dwarf. But the tag says can be grown in a container, but it also says could grow 15-20 feet. If I grow it in a pot, will it ever fruit or is a dwarf variety better suited for indoor life? |
If you keep your new lime tree in a container, it will remain much smaller than if you planted it in the ground. Yours will flower and bear fruit indoors, providing it has adequate light and moisture. If you don't have a bright and sunny window for it, plan on supplementing natural light with gro-lights during the winter months. Kept in a container and pruned occasionally, your Bearss lime tree will max out at about 8'. Enjoy your new tree! |
