| Back in April we puchased a Monrovia ornamental juniper (corkscrew style) from Riverside Nursery in Fresno CA. It seemed to be doing ok, it had a little browning on it, until about mid June. It appeared to get more and more brown. About the third week in July the whole plant turned brown and dry. We went back to the nursery and was told there was nothing they could do, Monrovia did not guarantee its products. They did state that with continued watering it would likely get better. Well, here we are in late September and the plant is still as dry as it was back in July. We are hoping this plant will get better as we spent what feel is a lot of money for basically and dead plant and no support from the nurersery. What can Monrovia do for us? | Junipers can react badly to poorly draining soils so you'll want to check and make sure the soil drains well. These plants do well with a deep soaking once each week (twice a week when you're trying to get the root system established, and when the weather is hot). I'm sorry your plant died. It's always disappointing to lose a part of your landscape. Monrovia's stock is healthy when it arrives at the nursery. Aside from that, there is no guarantee because we have no control over the growing conditions or care that's given. Each nursery has its own guarantee policy; some will replace perennials within a year of purchase and others offer no guarantee at all. I doesn't sound as though your nursery will help you out.
