Non Fruit Bearing Quince - Knowledgebase Question

At my previous house in Ricmond, there was a quince shrub with salmon-red blooms. It did not bear fruit. I have been trying to find this shrub in catalogues and at retailers, with no luck. Is there such a thing as a quince that doesn't bear fruit?

Chaenomeles japonica is the botanical name of non-fruiting quince.

Red Quince - scarlet-red flowers. Non-fruiting. 4' to 7' tall.

Pink Quince - rose-pink flowers. Non fruiting. 4' to 7' tall.

Compact Red Quince ("Texas Scarlet") - low to 3' high. Tomato-red flowers.

Compact Pink Quince ("Cameo") - low, compact to 2' high. Double soft apricot-pink flowers.
