When houseplants outgrow their containers they should be transplanted into the next sized container, in fresh potting soil. Moisten the potting soil and place some in the bottom of the new container and then turn the plant on its side and gently pull it out of the old pot. You can use your fingers to loosen the root mass a little and then set the plant in the new pot, filling in around the sides with fresh potting soil. Once it is in the new pot, water it thoroughly to help settle the soil. Best wishes with your indoor garden!
