I am interested in growing horseradish, but don't know anything about it. Can you please tell me how to grow, best time to plant and how long to harvest?

Horseradish doesn't set seeds so you'll need to start your plants from purchased roots. They like full sunshine and nice, deep soil. You can plant now, before the last frost date and harvest about September or October. The roots can be left in the ground to harvest at will. Some people cut the new green leaves and use them to flavor dishes, but usually the root is used to make a sauce.
