Sirs: I have called today all 3 of the garden centers you recommend for my area. None of them have your tree in stock. Martinson's Garden works told me they have not been able to get any dogwoods. All told me they wouldn't have dogwoods until spring. I know now is the time to plan t trees. How come I can't get your dogwood. I even asked if it could be special ordered. I was told no. Help!!!!!!!

You're right, fall is an excellent time to plant trees and shrubs. The caveat is that most nurseries are sold out of many plants this late in the year. The next best time to plant is spring, which corresponds to the time when nurseries have their largest inventory of plants. Sadly, not all plants are available at all times of the year, dogwoods included. Your nursery cannot special order because there is no stock available for sale at the moment. They should be able to include "Weaver's White" in their spring order and put a hold on it for you. I know you'll enjoy it once you have it in your landscape!
