The Q&A Archives: Growing Hollywood Juniper

Question: I live in Indio, Ca and want to put some Hollywood Junipers in. Will they surive in this climate?

Answer: Hollywood juniper is highly recommended for your growing region (zone 9); it is drought tolerant once established and adapts to many soil types. You can get your junipers off to a good start by preparing the soil well prior to planting. Add organic matter to ensure good drainage and to help soil hold moisture during the hot summer months. Best wishes with your landscape!
