I have purchased the above mentioned shrub at a local garden center. I need your help in deciding where to plant it. Their label (placed on your plant description) says that it will grow 15 to 18 inches tall. Now it's already at least 2 feet tall. Is this correct or have they made a mistake? How big will this plant get? Can I control it and keep it small through pruning? Thank you.

Euonymus alatus 'Compactus' will grow six to eight feet tall and wide. It has a natural pyramidal shape when left unpruned and does not need regular pruning -- it is a very low maintenance plant. It can be sheared or pruned like a hedge if required, but it would not be reasonable to try to keep it two feet tall. It grows best in a full sun location with average, well drained soil. Enjoy your new shrub!
