You can supplement the light by installing 40-watt fluorescent shop lights above the plant -- especially important in the winter, when they need 12 hours of light. Or, you can purchase the more expensive Gro-Lites. Gro-Lites are between 150 and 450 watts, which can get quite hot so you'll want to provide some ventilation in the area where the tree is growing and you won't want to touch the bulb. The Gro-Lites come with instructions on how far away to keep them from plants (which depends on the wattage).
