Parkland Rose does exist. This fairly new variety from the Canadian Parkland series has beautiful blood red 3" double blooms. Clusters of half a dozen roses makes for a great bouquet. The bush is very compact growing upright to a height of 2.5'(.500m) and disease resistance is very good for mildew but it can have some blackspot if weather is wet for extended lenghts of time. (spray with garden Sulfur.) Very good repeat blooms from late June till late Sept. So far, it is only available by mail order. Contact Old Heirloom Roses (http://oldheirloomroses.com/in...) or do a web search for other mail order companies.

Best wishes with your new rose.
