The Q&A Archives: Monrovia

Question: I have taken my 2 Monrovia plants appr. 5'1

Answer: You are correct, the bougainvillea must be brought indoors as it will not survive the winter outside. Unfortunately, I am not certain what your other two plants could be, Monrovia is simply a brand name. Some of the tropical plants will defoliate or yellow in response to being brought indoors -- they do not like the reduced light level and relatively dry indoor air and may also be responding to the shorter day length of the season. I would suggest you consult with your local professionally trained nurseryman to identify the plants and based on knowing that, learn how to care for them while indoors. I am sorry I can't be more specific for you.
