Good Morning,
I live in Downtown Sacramento on a 40ft wide lot, by 160 feet long. I need privacy in the backyard because I have 2, multi-story, neighbor homes that look right into my backyard. I need privacy covering a 80 foot long fence, from about 3 feet off the ground to about 25 feet in the air. Is this possible? What would you recommned for year around privacy?

Thank you,
I've been worried about the privacy issues becasue I keep seeing the neighbor walk out onto is back portch in just his underwear!

Sincerely,

Lawrence Khan

My, my! I don't blame you for wanting to screen such an unwanted view! The fastest growing plant you can use as a screening hedge is bamboo. There's a clumping variety that is not invasive named Bambusa oldhami (Oldham bamboo), which grows upwards of 25', is evergreen and grows into a thick, dense privacy screen in just a few years. Hope this appeals to you.
