I have an area of my yard with mexican heather covering a slope, last year some froze off, should I cut the tops back or just cover with pine straw?

William,

Sorry for the delayed reply. That is normal for mexican heather in a cold winter. I would try covering with pine straw and then in spring cut back any dead growth.

Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
