The Q&A Archives: Dwarf evergreen

Question: Please recommend a dwarf evergreen for southern exposure with a 3' maximum height for Carroll County Indiana.

Answer: Here are a couple of suggestions:
Picea glauca 'Conica' (Dwarf Alberta Spruce) which grows in a pyramidal shape to about 3' tall. Picea pungens 'Glauca Globosa' (Dwarf Colorado Blue Spruce), which grows 3-4' tall, or the extremely slow growing Picea orientalis 'Nigra Compacta' (Compact Oriental Spruce).

Hope one of these is just right for your garden.
